Alrighty then, this is the beginning of my blog for my senior
seminar project. My project will an animated short about a bucket list. So far
I have researched bucket lists and pulled a lot of the most common items
together as well as put in some of my own. I'll put the list on at the end of
this post. I am thinking of combining hand-drawn animation as well as After
Effects and Illustrator. The plan is to use hand-drawn techniques (probably
Flash) for the character and AE and Illustrator for the back ground and the
effects. As of now there isn't a story it is more focused on the visual style
and effects but I am not 100% settled on leaving it this way. The motion
graphics I have been drawing inspiration from are for the most part 2 minutes
or less. My main worry is that 3 minutes without any sort of story will get
boring after a while unless there is a lot of variety. As of right now there
are about 20 items on the list although I may change some of them as time goes.
As I am more concerned with visuals than story the will be a big focus on
transitions. I will pay special attention to them in order to make them fluid
and to give the whole video a nice flow from start to finish.
